Tips for using search effectively

The search engine by default searches for all the given words and displays the page which has the all given search words. The minimum number of characters for a word to perform a search is 4. Listed below is an example of the boolean search used.

apple banana
find pages that contain at least one of these words.

+apple +banana
find pages that contain both words.

+apple macintosh
word "apple", but rank it higher if it also contains "macintosh".

+apple -macintosh
word "apple" but not "macintosh".

apple*
"apple", "apples", "applesauce", and "applet". * represents 0 or more characters and can only occur at the end of a search word!
