Personal Data Protection Policy
Mitsubishi Logisnext Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. (hereafter, “MLAP”, “we”, or “our”) recognizes the importance of personal data, and we consider it our obligation to properly protect personal data that we may receive. MLAP addresses this obligation by adhering to the following policies
Personal data means data, whether true or not, about a customer who can be identified: (a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which we have or are likely to have access.

- To maintain our customer relationship and provide you with information about or changes to our website, our Site Policy, and/or this Personal Data Protection Policy.
- For internal business processes, authentication, loss and fraud prevention, public safety, and legal functions.
- To conduct research, analysis, and advertising.
- For internal statistical, product development, marketing, or operational purposes, such as to measure and understand demographic, user, user interest, purchasing, and other trends among our users.

1-3 We generally rely on personal data provided by you (or your authorised representative). In order to ensure that your personal data is current, complete and accurate, please update us if there are changes to your personal data.
2. Management of Personal data
- Formulation of a basic policy In order to ensure the proper handling of personal data, a basic policy on matters including “compliance with related laws and regulations, guidelines, and other rules” and “contacts for handling questions and complaints” has been formulated under our MLAP Code of Conduct.
- Arrangement of rules regarding the handling of personal data. Personal data handling rules have been formulated which specify responsible personnel and their duties company-wide and in each division, as well as the methods for handling personal data at each stage consisting of its acquisition, use, management, provision, and response to requests from individuals whose personal data has been provided.
- Organizational security control measures In addition to designating company-wide personal data protection managers, employees are supervised by designated responsible personnel in each division that handles personal data, and a system has been arranged for reporting to and contacting such managers if potential or actual cases of violations of laws or the personal data handling rules are identified.
- Personnel-based security control measures Regular training is provided to employees on points requiring caution when handling personal data. In the personal data handling rules, it is indicated that improper handling of personal data or related acts will result in disciplinary action, according to the provisions of the Rules of Employment.
- Physical safety management measures Security settings are designated, and entry/exit management is conducted for building, division, and area. Measures are implemented to prevent anyone who is not authorized or who has no relation to personal data from viewing or handling it. Measures are implemented to prevent the theft, loss, etc. of devices, electronic media, or documents used to handle personal data.
- Technological security control measures Access to file servers in each division is controlled, and the scope of access is limited so that only divisions which have relations to each item of personal data are allowed to handle the applicable data. Mechanisms have been introduced to protect information systems handling personal data from external unauthorized access or unauthorized software.
- Understanding of the external environment If personal data is to be handled in foreign countries, the systems related to personal data protection in the applicable country will be determined before implementing security control measures.
3. Handling of Personal data
3-2 Personal data received in the normal course of business, such as from business cards, etc., or from the internet, official journals, government records, etc., and personal data obtained from inquiries, applications for documents requests, seminars, etc., will be used only when it is necessary to contact you directly. It may also be used for product guidance and services, as well as for surveys.
3-3 We retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or to comply with legal obligation. When your personal data is no longer required for our legal or business purposes, we will take steps to delete or anonymize it.
3-4 You have a right to make the following choices regarding your personal data:
- Right to Access: You have a right to request for access to a copy of the personal data which we hold about you or information about the ways in which we use or disclose your personal data within a year before the date of the request.
- Right to Correct: You have a right to request that we correct or modify your personal data.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: You may at any time withdraw any consent given or deemed to have been given under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) in respect of the collection, use or disclosure of personal data for any purpose.
For access requests, please note that we may charge you a reasonable fee to respond to such a request. If so, we will inform you of the fee before processing your request. For withdrawal of consent requests, please note that depending on the nature and scope of your request, we may not be in a position to continue providing our goods or services to you and we shall, in such circumstances, notify you before completing the processing of your request. Please note that withdrawing consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use and disclose personal data where such collection, use and disclose without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws.
3-5 If we transfer personal data outside of Singapore, we will take steps to ensure that your personal data continues to receive a standard of protection that is at least comparable to that provided under the PDPA.
4. Personal data Sharing between MLAP Group Businesses and Representatives
4-1 Personal data acquired by MLAP group businesses may be shared among MLAP and its affiliates, and representative agencies. In addition, personal data acquired by from cooperative enterprises (including vendors, contract manufacturers, various service providers, etc.) may also be shared with MLAP and its affiliates.
4-2 When sharing personal data, non-disclosure agreements between MLAP and representative agencies are implemented to prevent the leakage and re-offering of entrusted information.

6. How We Handle Personal data on Our Website
In obtaining the personal data of a visitor to the Mitsubishi Logisnext Website, Mitsubishi Logisnext uses a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and other encrypting means to protect the personal data inputted through a communications link or otherwise observed through visitor Website activity.
